Ch.
Hazelwood's Legacy of Daisy ITD

Tulip is sweet and playful with a very mastiff temperament. She loves everyone and everyone loves her. Like all of our dogs, she is happiest when she is with us than when she isn't and she's part of our day to day life. She has cute little quirks, such as pressing her mouth against people's lips to give them dry kisses and her constant war with the squirrels and doves in the backyard.
Originally Leela from our Jungle Book litter, we changed her name to Tulip (another flower). She is our keeper puppy from our Einstein x Vinzenz litter in September of 2020. We love her sweet, personality that is laid back but with little bits of being a spitfire. She is so very much like her grandmother was as a puppy in regards to temperament and are very excited about adding her to our kennel. She is so much like her grandmother, Daisy, who was my heart dog and featured on a lot of photos on the website.
As mentioned, she is out of the Jungle Book themed litter, Leela was the granddaughter of Akela in the stories.
Tulip is still having health clearances done according to age restrictions. All genetic testing has been done. She is clear of 213 canine inherited diseases and a carrier (unaffected and will not produce affected offspring when bred to a clear male. She will only be bred to a clear male). Importantly:
- PRA: Clear
- DM: Carrier
- CMR: Clear
- HU: Clear
- Cysturnia 3: Clear
Hips, Elbows, Eyes and Heart will be tested when she is 2 years of age.
Tulip does not carry the fluffy gene and does not carry any genes that could indicate a mismarked coat such as pied.
And hopefully you'll see her in shows once they open again.
Tulip is part of the Mastiff Diversity Study created by UC Davis. This will assist us with our breeding goals to breed diverse and healthy mastiffs.
For more information on the study, visit their website at https://vgl.ucdavis.edu/canine-genetic-diversity/english-mastiff or to order diversity tests for your purebred, registered mastiff, select the canine genetic test on their order page. You can click on the order tests right from their site.
Critiques
London Canine Association
Tulip earned her first CKC championship under Judi Elford. Thank you for awarding her her final point for her Championship and to all the judges who have gotten her to this point. We are beyond excited to have her championed.
